Welcoming Fall

This past weekend, we were able to enjoy a little more "home time" than has been the norm recently. I took the chance to do a little fall decorating around our house. The front step got a bit of a fall makeover, and our dining room now boasts some lovely fall flowers. No out-of-this-world changes, but small touches do go a long way.

Our front step is now looking fall-ish with the addition of two pumpins and an assortment of lanterns filled with straw balls, pinecones and candles. It cost me around $16 to purchase the pumpkins and everything else was on hand. Very, very simple but still lovely. (I think it took me all of 5 minutes to put it together so don't get your hopes too high!)

And some fall-coloured flowers I arranged in three narrow vases. Actually, they aren't vases at all. They are old oil and vinegar bottles. (Upcycling at its best.) Just a small way to bring the fall colours inside. The trio runs down the middle of our dining table.

Happy fall, everyone! Have you been doing some decorating for the season?
